DEATH: ARTHUR W. MORRISON

Arthur Wendell Morrison, age 90, passed away February 12, 1996, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Wendell was born November 2, 1905, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Arthur William and Esther Elizabeth Elggren Morrison. He graduated from LDS High School and attended the U of U. Married Lydia Christensen on November 26, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lydia preceded him in death on March 4, 1962.Wendell later married Ina Reese Johnson on October 24, 1970. He worked as an office supply salesman, and manager of the Salt Lake Tribune in Idaho Falls, and Pocatello, Idaho. During World War II he was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a Fireman and Engineer. He retired from the Union Pacific in 1970. During his retirement years he again worked for Newspaper Agency Corp.
Survived by his wife, Ina, Salt Lake; two daughters and one son, Reta Maralyn (Clarence) Allred, Salt Lake; Arnold Wendell "Bud" (B.J.) Morrison, Laguna Beach, Calif.; Gloria Lee (Harry) vanSoolen, West Valley; stepson, Steven (Sue) Johnson, Ft. Myer, Florida; nine grandchildren, Evan (Carol) Allred, Ren (Kathy) Allred, Arnie (Gigi) Allred, Alma (Robyn) Allred, David (Paula) Allred, Lisa (Bill) Morey, all Salt Lake City; Arnold Wayne (Suzanne) Morrison, Delano, Calif., Mindy (George) Borghi, Los Angeles, Calif., Benjamin Lee vanSoolen, West Valley; step-grandchildren, Erin and Lauren Johnson, Ft. Myer, Florida; 27 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Clarence, Lovell, Wyo.; Fred, Reed, Grant, two sisters, JennaVee and Marjorie, all Salt Lake.
Preceded in death by his parents, a brother,Francis and a sister, Anna Marie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 1996, 2 p.m., at the Valley View 7th Ward, 2245 East 3900 South, where friends may call for one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
