Arthur William Morrison

Obituary for Arthur William Morrison

Birth: Mar. 21, 1881
Death: May 19, 1938

Arthur William Morrison, 57, of 759 East Thirty-second South street, former state legislator and L.D.S. church leader, died at a local hospital at noon Thursday of acute intestinal obstruction.
Born March 21, 1881 at Richfield. Mr. Morrison was a son of William and Anna Marie Hansen Morrison.
He attended Richfield schools and the L. D. S. business college at Salt Lake City.
Mr. Morrison served in the L. D. S. church Swedish mission from 1902 to 1904; was bishop of the L.D.S. Stockton ward for three years, and was president of the high priests' quorum of Wandamere ward at the time of his death.
He was representative from Tooele County in the state legislature in 1920.
Surviving are his widow Mrs. Ester Elggren Morrison; three daughters and six sons. Seven brothers and five sisters.
